A herd on the moor, led by a shepherd and (almost always) with border collies, is called a shepherded herd. Since we herd mainly on the Salland Ridge, the name Scheperij Salland was quickly coined.

Susanne began her career as a guide dog trainer with the KNGF. She spent six years working as a shepherd in Ireland and Scotland. Thanks to her work experience at home and abroad, Susanne has a wealth of knowledge about sheep, nature management and training dogs. She uses her border collies daily with the flock and also runs competitions at the highest level. She is multiple Dutch Champion herding, European Champion and has been a regular face in the Dutch team competing at the European and World Championships since 2012.
